This work has its roots in a very dear belief in the immortality of our soul. That unique, eternal sacred part of each individual that we forget we have and sometimes, -when we deeply need it-, appears as a gift of life.
Anamnesis comes from Greek language and means beyond the memory. Sometimes psychedelic drugs as mescaline or LSD serve as triggers to awaken all our memory in a split of a second; so, we remember what has been of our life from its origins to our last present time. This vision can also appear through dreams. What you are going to hear ,is a sort of collage of thirteen fragments that tell a story. The story of birth, death, and resurrection.
Anamnesis was commissioned by Luis Humberto Ramos for the 1996 Music Festival of Zacatecas and it is dedicated to him.
